The island is showing signs of spring. The Easter Bunny came and went, (no really, we have our own bunny) and the daffodils are in full bloom. Block Island is peppered with these yellow wake up calls and if you go for a hike in the Maze there are thousands of them. Take little Maximus here, who's family made a tradition of annual daffodil photo shoots. Wanna go for a hike?

Water Street
Just a typical winter's day on island. We live and breathe according to what the elements bring so today, some wind and some snow. Nothing in comparison by my recollection to the ice and power outages of a storm a few years back, and they didn't even name it or call it a blizzard.
I'm not discounting what is going on in America (our pet name for the mainland), it looks like Nemo is the captain over many communities just a ferry ride from here.
Water Street
With our purple flag flyin' high and our ferries grounded for the past 2 days, we'll stay safe and sound under a soft blanket of snow and a world away from parking bans and power outages.
That's winter on Block Island.
