Block Island Ballards Inn
Block Island Ballards Inn is right on the beach in Old Harbor. You can see the inn and the marina in front of it as you approach old harbor by ferry.This resort is owned and operated by the Filippi Family. A few decades ago, the inn was burned to the ground and rebuilt. A proposed renovation is underway to update the inn and restaurant, to make the property more of a full service resort with more rooms, summer housing and space for corporate events. The Marina at old harbor is in need of dock and facility repair, the proposed renovation would help to "pretty up" the area. Some visitors have admitted that Ballard's is their only view of Block Island, they haven't been anywhere else! That's due to the inn's proximity to town and beach, basically you're right there! The restaurant serves food and cocktails are served right to your beach towel. The private beach is life guarded and open to the public. The inn's rooms include single, double and deluxe with balconies. Direct TV,refrigerator, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi are among the amenities offered. Check out the room rates.
