Unique Features

The Block Island Bellevue House is located on High Street, a short walk from town and beaches. Open from May-October, the main building is an inn with guest rooms, some with kitchenettes. There are three other buildings on the property for rent by cottage or apartment which makes this inn popular with families. Guest room rates include a continental breakfast. The innkeepers are happy to assist you with planning activities around the island.

The innkeepers also manage the Sheffield House and several rental homes on island. Each guest room, apartment, and cottage has their own unique decor with special amenities such as kitchens, kitchenettes, sleigh beds, and porches. Each apartment or cottage has a fully equipped kitchen as well as a relaxing living area.

The Block Island Bellevue House was built in 1882. The main building has always been an inn. The Sheffield House was built in 1886 and is only a fews doors down the street. The Victorian charm has been preserved and is reflected in the rooms.
