The Block Island Harborside Inn is located on Water Street, directly across from the ferry parking lot. This Victorian inn is listed on the national register of Historic Buildings. Situated in the heart of town and overlooking Old Harbor and the ocean, this inn was once called the 'Royal Hotel.'

There are 36 guest rooms, all with private baths and t.v. Many have ocean views and others have air conditioning. Continental breakfast is served during high season when the Inn's restaurant, The Harbor Grill, is open.

The Harbor Grill is noted for their lobster dinners & salad bar. Fresh seafood is always on the menu, along with a cool breeze on the front deck. This centrally located restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating and the bar is open to the public as well as hotel guests.

Shops line the area below the front porch, the deck is great for lounging, watching the ferries come in and go out, eating or cocktails in the afternoon. The Harborside lobby is also home to Block Island Reservations. In addition to checking guests in and out of the Harborside Hotel, the reservations office also manages several other hotels, suites and apartments around the island. The friendly staff will help you book tours or activities and reserve bikes or mopeds.
