Ocean View Pavilion
The ocean view pavilion of Block Island is an eco-tourism site. Situated in the heart of town, next to the post office building and on the ruins of the former ocean view hotel, which burned to the ground in the 1960's.
In it's first decade of existence, this foundation has preserved land on Block Island, produced awareness movies about the island and run programs to educate the community and its visitors about preservation, conservation and environmental education.
The site is a peaceful structure in a tranquil setting overlooking the ocean. A great place to walk or eat a packed lunch, see the gardens or watch the ferry come in and go out.
Fun family programs and events such as nature walks, bird banding and arts & crafts are scheduled almost year round. Visit their website to find out what's going on during your visit.Return from Ocean View Pavilion to Things to Do
