Block Island Playground
Ball O'brien is a good playground. It is located on West Side Road, right after you pass the Oar and before you get to Champlin's marina.Frequented by the community, it is always open to visitors. There is a place to < href="http://www.block-island-family-vacation.com/skate-park.html">skateboard, a basketball court, tennis courts, a sandy area with swings, a slide and a jungle gym, and plenty of grass to play on. There is a port-o-john on premises, and plenty of shade and off street parking. Most visitors prefer the beach, after all, you can go to the park at home. If you are here for a week or more, this is a nice option, especially for the babies and 'tweens' who like to skate.
